Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. Psalm 62:1
I recommend reading Psalm 62.
Little is known about Katarina von Schlegel, the author of the poem, Be Still, My Soul written in 1752. Her words, joined with the haunting stains of “Finlandia” by Sibelius, have made this a classic hymn. It was widely sung during World War II when it comforted and entire nation. It became a part of many soldiers lives during the war. Many heard the Lord speaking to them in a personal way when singing this song. It brought them peace during the horrors of war.
Peace for My Soul!!!
My prayer for the week: Dear Lord, you are our guide at all times. You hear our prayers and we are never alone as travel our daily journey. You transform our lives by following the teachings of the Bible. We praise You for being with us from the moment of our birth. Our faith gives us assurance. Praise God. Amen
